Recently, the elders of the Dalraida church of Christ saw fit to send funds to assist brother T. Nathaniel, a preacher that we met through Ricky Gootam when we visited the country in February of 2019. T. Nathaniel and his son, Kishore Kumar, work with the church in Rayavaram and Tossipudi, as well as running a home for widows. We have maintained contact with them since then, and they reached out identifying the needs of the people in their local area. T. Nathaniel has sent back a summary of how they have been able to use the money during the pandemic.
The church bought 500 kgs of rice, 2,475 kgs of vegetables, and other various grocery items such as soaps and toothpaste. With these goods, they have been able to help 275 households in 20 different villages around Rayavaram Mandal. The church was able to work together as the elders and youth group were instrumental in the packing, loading, and unloading of all the goods. Through this benevolent work during the pandemic, the people of these villages have come to know the care of the church and doors will be opened to teach them about Jesus.
T. Nathaniel personally thanks the elders of Dalraida and the church here and sends his greetings and his prayers. He has also sent along the following short slideshow from the work so that we can see the impact that the church is having in India. Please continue to keep him and all mission works in your prayers.
