Rajendra Prasad K, one of the preachers in India that we support through the Gardner Fund, has sent a brief email offering an update on the situation in his area and with the church. Please read the text of his email below and be in prayer for his work and all of India at this time.
Dear Elders,
Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Our state government had imposed complete lockdown today – so, only seven families could attend the in-person Worship service and the remaining attended online. People from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Andaman & Nicobar islands also attended our zoom worship service today.
The preacher at Pokalavaripalli, Bro Zechariah, another preacher from Bangalore, Bro Vijay kumar and a member from Karedu Church passed away. We are safe as of now and pray for your safety there.
Many preachers are in regular contact with me either over phone or in person. Since, lockdown is imposed in many places, many, who are staying home call me or contact me and seek clarification on many spiritual issues. One way or the other, Gospel is being spread to the possible extent by us. The Lord’s work is progressing in rural areas. We are trying to help the widows, orphans, elderly people and the needy to a little extent with the funds sent by you.
Please consider the pandemic situation and extend your support in this regard.
